Soccer

Sat. Aug. 22, 2009
Today was Chase's first Soccer game for this season. He is still in the U-8 age group. His team won 9 to 1. I didn't take any pictures due to rain. His team name is The Sharks. They only cancel the game if there is Lightning and or it is raining very hard. So every one was wet and cold.

Something New

I am thinking about making my own soap.
I have had problems with my skin for a long time. It wasn't till I finally started using (100% Olive Oil Castile Soap) that my hands and the rest of my skin started doing better. My hands were always cracked and bleeding. And I would have rashes on other parts of my body. My skin has been doing so much better for the last two to three years. So when I ran out of my soap, and could no longer get it from the place where I had been, I tried store bought. It didn't take too long for my hands to start having problems again. So I Looked on line for another place. I found one in Canada. So I bought a enough to last awhile. Now I have noticed there are several in the US. But how long before you can no longer find it again.
I looked up recipes and what supplies are needed. And it does not look hard. It takes 6 weeks for the soap to set. So now I just have to make up my mind whether to make soap or not.

Karate

Chase goes to Karate 3 days a weeks. He received his yellow belt on March 5, 2009.

Snap shots

Here is our youngest son, Chase, after getting his face painted. He likes Tigers.

This is our Chihuahua, Bubbles with her toys, she is 3 years old.

Here is Chase at his summer sports activities. Chase started summer sports in 2006. He does the Kids sports: T-Ball, Soccer, & Basket Ball. In 2008 we added Bowling to his summer sports. Then in 2009 we kept very busy with Kids sports, Bowling, Swimming, Photography, & Karate.
Needles to say we spent a lot of time in town. Last year on Tuesdays we would be in town from 9:00am to 7:00pm. This year we could not sign up for Bowling. It seems that the Bowling alley has new owners, and they do not want to do the bowling program for the kids. Chase is already signed up for the Kids sports, & Chess. Of course he is still in Karate. And we will be signing up for the Soccer league.

Bug

On January 21, 2006 my husband, Greg bought our 1970 VW Bug, and brought it home. Our boy, Chase, loves to help out with the jack. Greg checked all the fluids, and tires. Then we drove it around the area, not too far from home. Oct. 2006 Greg decided it could us a new motor and transmission. After we put the new motor and transmission in we started driving around the area again. The floor panel were the battery is has a hole. We decided to take a trip to Flagstaff in the bug. It ran fine there and back. We did have a problem with the front passenger seat. It kept moving. But we made it there and back again.
Then we bought the back half floor pans to fix the floor. When the seats were taken out and the rug. we found out why the passenger seat was moving. The whole floor pan was pretty bad, it was a surprise that the battery stayed in the car. So Greg replaced both whole floor pans. The floor looks so good now. We ordered a new head liner, seat pads and fabric, rug, insulation.
Sense we have the car all torn apart we decided to go ahead and paint it.

The hole is where the battery sat and some how stayed in the car.

Here are a couple parts of the new insides to the bug. It should look very nice when we finish it.

June 1, 2009

Sense Greg started sanding the bug, he has found several layers of paint. We found out that the roof was replaced. And one door was replaced. Sense there is still a lot to do on this car, we are thinking of painting our 1986 Pontiac Firebird first. The body is in very good condition, and the interior is in good shape to. We will not be stripping the Firebird. We just need to replace the headliner and recover the seats when we get around to it.
